In 2018, the third iteration of Camp Solong was hosted on the island reserve of Bowdoin College Coastal Studies Center on Orr’s Island in rural Maine, USA, articulating its occurrence in the middle of nowhere as a surreal form of living land art. The 3-day camp session welcomed a new group of six adult campers for a further elaborated goodbye-oriented program run by the camp’s counselors and founders Fluffy and Baloo (Dafna Maimon and Ethan Hayes-Chute).
Alongside the summer camp installation, the solo-exhibition Camp Solong: Almost Season showcased the camp counselors summer offices as an immersive installation at SPACE Gallery, Portland Maine.
